सेख सबूरी बाहरा, क्या हज काबै जाइ ।
जाका दिल साबत नहीं, ताको कहाँ खुदाइ ।।

शब्दार्थ-काबै=काबा में (काबा अरब के मक्का शहर का एक स्थान है, जहाँ मुसलमान लोग हज करने जाते हैं)। साबत=साबित, सम्पूर्ण, बिना बँटा हुआ, दुरुस्त।

पद्यार्थ-हे शेखजी ! सब्र (संतोष) से बाहर रहकर अर्थात् संतोष-विहीन रहकर काबे में हज करने क्या जाते हो? जिसका मन साबित (बिना बँटा हुआ) नहीं है, उसको खुदा (स्वयंभू, ईश्वर) कहाँ मिलता है? अर्थात् नहीं मिलता है।
