शब्दार्थ-हेत=कारण। नाद=शब्द। कोकिला=कोयल।

पद्यार्थ-भक्ति के कारण लवलीन होकर गाते हैं, जैसे कोयल वन में शब्द करती हो। शंख और वेणु की ध्वनि बजती है, तन, मन और चित्त हरि गोविन्द में डूबा रहता है।
टिप्पणी-हरि-कीर्त्तन इस तरह होना चाहिए, जैसे ऊपर में वर्णित है।
